One Sunday At The Seaside - And Restaurant 

The heat has arrived and in a while we will go to the sea

but we preferred to take a walk

as a destination we chose the poetto .. precisely .. small marine

Marina Piccola is the beginning of the Cagliari part of the Poetto beach.

first stretch of the coast is divided into ‘stops’, which derive from the stops of the tram, replaced in modern times by buses.

‘first stop’, (Marina Piccola) has a very shallow water

second and third stops are home to the historic establishments of Aquila and Lido

‘fourth’ stop hosts those of the police

‘fifth’, where the Spanish tower stands, up to the terminus there is an immense expanse of ‘free’ sand.

The border with the coast of Quartu is La Bussola, from the place active there in the past.

From here the free beach continues with a series of welcoming and well-equipped establishments.

the poetto can be reached by bus … the train (and then the bus) or by car But let’s go back to my Sunday …

a nice walk surrounded by the scent of the sea they take you inside the marina in a few minutes where you want .. on your right .. there is a restaurant

Continuing, you will skirt the small port on your left

and on your right you will find a fence

but if you catch a glimpse … you will find a beach unfortunately used for military exercises

but behind the devil’s saddle (the one you see at the top left in the photo)

there is a small beach where you can swim … but it can be reached on foot

now we have to go back because the marina is finished

then we retrace the walk and leave the small marina

keeping to the right we can enter along the promenade along the seafront

as described above

here you will find many cloisters to have an aperitif, eat an ice cream … or have lunch …

remember that for the first and third .. it is better to book

we keep walking and a little further on from the Lido establishment

on the left we find a large parking lot with vans that prepare delicious sandwiches for you

if you look around you will also find a playroom and games for children

but in operation from the evening

if we leave the games on our right we find a black gate and a little further on… the supermarket

we enter the black gate and on the first floor we find a restaurant

Once you arrive..you find the staff to welcome you and follow them to the table

we ordered and after an hour we were served with the first

we had asked for the order for my daughter to arrive earlier and instead she had to wait too

his dish was nice and generous even if the sauce seemed to be thrown there

my first was tagliolini with cuttlefish ink with cherry tomatoes, prawns and mint

served in giant plates with a narrow base

good but first of all I expected more content

and above all the pasta seasoned with cuttlefish ink

in all it must have been 80g of pasta

in the bottom two fingers of oil and it was not of seasoning

same goes for my husband with pasta with clams

the prawns and clams were really fresh instead

we then took the fried calamari

very good and dry

the place is clean and the waitresses don’t just serve your table .. but everyone does everything

we sat down around 1.30pm and got up at after 4pm

I recommend it to those who eat little

but you don’t do it for me and I bud it

I forgot … the prices are around 13 to 15 euros … it depends on what you want to eat

and lastly… the bread is served in classic baker’s bags and even burnt
